GOin is the 1st crypto-asset manager to obtain the PSAN licensing, finally paving the way for the creation of financial products backed by crypto-assets in Europe
Paris, December 17th 2024 - GOin, a pioneering French crypto-asset manager since 2018, announces that it is now licensed by the AMF as a Digital Asset Service Provider (known as ‘PSAN’). This approval, the first issued for all custody, brokerage, management on behalf of third parties, and advisory services, enables GOin to offer for the first time to institutional investors, including financial institutions, to develop their activity in the field of crypto-assets.
“We are proud to be the first to obtain this license for the five services that are essential for investing in crypto-assets, especially the custody service,” says Tangi Le Calvez, CEO of GOin. “For years, we have been working on behalf of our clients to develop innovative, secure and regulated solutions. Obtaining this license rewards all our efforts and enables us to offer institutional investors a solution to develop their activity in the field of crypto-assets. It also gives us the opportunity to quickly obtain a CASP authorisation under the MiCA regulation - effective in 2025 - paving the way for our expansion throughout the European Union.”
This license was made possible by the integration of blockchain technologies at the very heart of GOin’s infrastructure. It fully validates GOin’s commitment to data security and protection of clients’ crypto-assets. Last summer, GOin became the first French crypto-asset manager to obtain the ISO 27001:2022 certification, which is the benchmark international standard for information security management.
These achievements are the work of a team that combines high-level skills in both market finance and development on the highly specific technologies of Web3, brought together by its two co-founders: Tangi Le Calvez, CEO, a former investment banker and derivatives trader, and Emmanuel Levi-Valensi, CTO, a specialist in blockchain technologies, cybersecurity and software design.
At a time when institutional investors are investing massively in crypto-assets across the Atlantic, GOin’s PSAN license makes it the first French crypto-asset manager to enable institutional investors to structure crypto-backed financial products.
