GOin obtains a payment institution license from the ACPR
Paris, July 24, 2026 – GOin, a pioneering crypto investment company since 2018, announces that it has been licensed as a payment institution for services on e-money tokens (EMTs).
The license was granted by the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR), the French regulator for the banking sector. It is required to offer custody and transfer services on stablecoins backed by a fiat currency.
A strategic milestone
This new step consolidates a unique track record. GOin was the first French player to obtain the MiCA license for the administration, custody and transfer of crypto-assets, and has been ISO 27001 certified since 2024. This banking license extends an already complete range of services – custody, transfer, brokerage, portfolio management and advisory – to stablecoin payment use cases, an essential building block for its institutional and retail clients.
« Obtaining this banking license is a decisive step that reflects our constant commitment to providing our clients with innovative and secure services across the entire crypto-asset value chain, now including stablecoin payments », says Tangi Le Calvez, CEO of GOin.
GOin was advised by the law firm De Gaulle Fleurance, a recognised expert in crypto-asset regulation.
A booming stablecoin market
This announcement comes as the European stablecoin market is accelerating sharply. Across Europe, around twenty players have already been authorised to issue e-money tokens (EMTs), among them the major French banks Société Générale-Forge and, more recently, Caceis. A consortium of 37 European banks, Qivalis, is also preparing to issue its own stablecoin, illustrating the growing interest of banking players in these instruments.
GOin at the forefront of the market
In France, the Crypto-Asset Service Provider ecosystem has become highly structured. According to the official CASP register, only 33 companies have been licensed by the AMF to date.
This payment institution license, required by European regulation for the provision of services on e-money tokens, positions GOin among the few French players holding both a CASP license and a payment institution license.
